My qualifications and vocational experience

Through my education and my vocational experience in Germany and the United Kingdom I have acquired a solid knowledge of English. Apart from my translation work, I have also been working in the areas of layout, graphic design and image-editing.

Qualifications:

• Translator for the English Language - qualification recognised by the German state
• Certified Translator for English and German
• Membership of the BDÜ - the German equivalent of the Institute for Translators and Interpreters (for English, German and Spanish)
• Translator for the Spanish Language - exam of the German Chamber of Commerce
• Foreign Business Correspondent for English and Spanish - qualification recognised by the German state
• A-levels in English, Arts and R.E.
• Participation in various seminars of the German translators' association "BDÜ" in the fields of translation of legal documents, contract law and medicine.

Vocational experience:

• Several years of experience in the translation of specialised texts into or from the following languages: English-German, Spanish-German and French-German.
• Experience in teaching German as a foreign language and in teaching web design.
• Experience in the areas of layout, web design and digital image-editing.
